Wishing everyone a Happy Chinese New Year – year of the Dragon. All the pupils in Nano Nagle are very busy doing art work and listening to Chinese music.

On Tuesday 17th January, 9 LCVP (5th Year) girls from Presentation Secondary School Listowel presented a cheque for €400 to Bridie Murphy.
They baked a variety of buns and small cakes and sold them to students and staff in the Presentation Primary School. They ran their mini company before the Christmas holidays. They were delighted to give the profit to Nano Nagle School.
The Board of Managment, Staff and Pupils would like to thank the girls most sincerely for their great work and their generous donation. Thanks to these pupils we can now buy another Ipad2 for our pupils to help them communicate and learn.
The Board of Management, Staff and Pupils of Nano Nagle School would like to thank the Ballaugh Wren Boys who went out on St. Stephen’s Day to raise money for our school and for Abhaile Respite.
The Ballaugh Wren Boys presented a cheque to Nano Nagle School last week. They played music for our pupils and we had a great time dancing.
Faith and Light will take place on Sunday 11th December in the Listowel Arms Hotel at 2pm. All welcome.
Well done to Senior 2 (group category) and Tomas Fitzmaurice (14 – 17 yr category) who won prizes at Chapter Level in the Credit Union Art Competition.
Awards will take place on Sunday 11th December in Manor West Hotel.
Christmas Mass
Our Christmas Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Declan O’Connor on Tuesday 13th December at 1pm here in the school.
Santa’s Grotto
Santa’s Grotto is currently under construction. We are looking forward to Santa’s visit next week. There is a lot of excitement around the school.
Christmas Outings
Senior 1 went to Tralee to do their Christmas shopping on Friday 25th November. Pupils bought presents for their families. They really enjoyed their day out.
Senior 2 went to Tralee to do their Christmas Shopping on Friday 9th December.
We held our 6th Annual Social in the Listowel Arms Hotel on Friday 2nd December. Music by Heart and Soul followed by a disco with DJ Fatz. A great night was had by Staff, Pupils, Parents – past and present – and members of the community.
